I made these strawberry macarons a few weeks ago but never got around to posting. I was a little disappointed as there wasn’t any strawberry flavour in the shells. I also got lazy and made white chocolate ganache filling instead of making strawberry buttercream. With the white chocolate filling the macs were way too sweet for me. I’m hoping to move onto lemon macs next. I decided to make lemon curd to use up the leftover egg yolks as I already have too many in the freezer.
One happy note, I was able to order Desserts by Pierre Herme. I was a little surprised to find it in stock as it has been unavailable for quite awhile. Of course I ordered it immediately!
