While searching for all butter puff pastry at Longos today, I saw this package of frozen pain au chocolat. Of course I had to try it. The best thing is the package is small enough to keep in our overflowing freezer.

Pain au chocolat
Although I enjoy the occasional pain au chocolat and croissants, I haven't attempted to make them at home. I don't think I love them enough to go through all that work of making them.

No preparing the dough, just take out the frozen pain au chocolat, bake it for 15 mins and voila...!
I wouldn't say it's amazing but it's not bad. I think i'll try the butter croissants next time.
